Steps#

This section elaborates on the steps of the DEO workflow. The first few steps are slightly interchangeable, and some things will probably change as you create the parametric model and explore your problem and the design space.

1. Define objectives#

The first step is to define the objectives (or key performance indicators (KPIs)) of the DEO, and in this context we are talking about quantifiable objectives. They drive the optimisation or performance-driven exploration, and they also influence the concept of the parametric model and how it is built.
